On Monday, the Airports Authority of India (AAI) told media that construction of a new integrated passenger terminal at Trichy Airport in Tamil Nadu will be completed by April 2023 as 75% of the construction work is completed.

AAI told the media that more than 75% of the terminal building construction work has been completed and the project will be completed by April 2023.

Trichy is the third largest airport in terms of international passenger traffic in Tamil Nadu, next to Chennai and Coimbatore. The development of the aviation infrastructure will provide improved air connections for the residents of Trichy and the surrounding region in Tamil Nadu.
