Currently, the Airports Authority of India (AAI) has 29 idle aircraft at its owned and operated airports. The AAI is actively approaching airlines to sell these idle aircraft, and a bank/bond guarantee of around Rs 7,300 crore is maintained for these assets, as mentioned by Minister Scindia.
