According to aviation consulting firm CAPA India on Wednesday, Indian airport operators are expected to post a 26% increase in revenue at USD 3.9 billion in the upcoming fiscal year. In providing the forecast for the airports, it stated that total passenger traffic, including domestic and international, is expected to reach 395 million in 2023-2024.
Domestic air passengers will increase from 275 million to 320 million of the total this financial year. The number of passengers flying internationally will increase from 58 million to 75 million during this period.
According to CAPA India, domestic airport traffic in India is expected to reach 700 million travelers and international airport traffic will reach 160 million travelers by FY2030.
According to the report, Indian airports will earn USD 3.9 billion more in the coming fiscal year than was forecast for 2022-2023.
At the CAPA India Aviation Summit, the perspective was given. Airport health was hit hard by the pandemic, according to Stefano Barconi, director general of ACI Asia Pacific, and air passenger volume is still recovering.
