The Government of Uttar Pradesh has announced that the state will soon have more than 20 operational airports, five of which are international airports.

"Unprecedented work has been done in the field of civil aviation during the yogi government's tenure," Finance Minister Suresh Khanna said in his speech. There are currently nine operational airports in the state and 80 destinations can be reached by air."

In addition, he stated that the state has three operational international airports and that those coming into Jewar and Ayodhya will be international airports.

The minister added that the construction of six airports - Aligarh, Azamgarh, Moradabad, Shravasti, Chitrakoot and Sonbhadra - is almost complete during the yogi government's tenure. Four airports have already been built.

"A total of 21 airports will become operational in the state in the coming years, with five international and 16 domestic airports." We believe that the citizens of the state should have access to air travel," he added.

The Yogi government's annual budget for fiscal years 2023 and 2024 also places a special emphasis on expanding the state's rail and cable car connections.

In the Yogi government's budget for 2023–2024, infrastructure development has also been prioritised in all state development authorities, including Lucknow and urban areas.

As part of this, it is proposed to allocate Rs 1.5 billion for the establishment of cable car services in Varanasi and other cities. The Kanpur Metro Rail Project has received a budget allocation of Rs 5.85 billion for the 2023-2024 fiscal year.

The Agra Metro Rail Project will also receive an investment of Rs 4.650 billion On the other hand, the metro rail project in Varanasi, Gorakhpur and other cities has received funding in the amount of Rs 1 billion The Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut Corridor Regional Rapid Transit System project has been allocated Rs 1.37 billion by the Yogi government for the fiscal years 2023 and 2024.

Similarly, this budget provides rs 3 billion for the urban expansion and the chief minister's new city promotion program. In addition, the budget includes a provision of Rs 6.51 billion for the acquisition of land for the renovation, divertiment and treatment of Goddhoiya Nala and Ramgarh Tal in the city of Gorakhpur.
