Developed by the Airport Authority of India (AAI) at an estimated cost of Rs 6.45 billion, Donyi Polo Airport covers an area of 4,100 square meters, has eight check-in counters and can accommodate up to 200 visitors.

On October 18, Indigo Airlines had successfully made a test landing at the new airport, its first in Arunachal Pradesh.
