It is Motherson's first order from Boeing and would start in the third quarter (Q3) of fiscal year (FY) 2023. The parts would be manufactured at a plant in Noida. Although the company has not disclosed the value of the order.
Motherson CEO (Aerospace Division) Kunal Bajaj told media that this order would make Motherson a tier-1 supplier to Boeing.
He said it marks the beginning of a new journey in line with Motherson's vision for space development.
Ashwani Bhargava, Boeing India Senior Director, Supply Chain, said it is an important step in their commitment to the Indian government's Atma Nirbhar Bharat vision.
