Airside expansion at Kolkata airport delayed by 17 months
 

Work on the airside capacity expansion of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport (NSCBI) in Kolkata has been on hold for nearly a year and a half due to delays in relocating an Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCLs) pipeline and land acquisition.

The NSCBI Airport in Dum Dum serves the metropolitan area of ​​Kolkata. It is a hub for flights to Northeast India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, China and Southeast Asia. It was awarded the Best Improved Airport in the Asia-Pacific region by the Airports Council International (ACI).

Officials told media that in 2018 the airside capacity expansion of NSCBI airport was approved for Rs 389.71
