The Patna District Government has given the Airports Authority of India (AAI) 21 hectares of land to construct the parallel taxiway (PTT), which will increase the aircraft frequency at Jayprakash Narayan International Airport. The new municipal airport requires 26 hectares of land for development.
About 21 acres of the 64-acre property leased by the state government to the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) has been transferred to the AAI, allowing them to begin construction of the PTT. The remaining land, including 2.6 hectares of the transportation department and 2.4 hectares of the livestock department, is being transferred and will be completed shortly. Both departments got the job done.
