The state government and the Union Ministry of Civil Aviation will finalize a land acquisition plan for Purandar airport within the next eight days, Industries Minister Uday Samant said. He announced that he, along with Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu and Minister of State Murlidhar Mohol, will evaluate three models in the coming days. Once a model is selected, MIDC will start the land acquisition process.

He confirmed that all necessary compliance measures have been completed. The land near Chakan for the Vedanta-Foxconn project has also been allotted by MIDC for logistics facilities.
